From the 90s to today's cold days. The The North Face 1996 Retro Nuptse in Smoked Pearl/TNF Black keeps the shiny ripstop fabric, oversized baffles, and boxy silhouette that made the original unmistakable. The relaxed fit allows room for layering.
The 700-fill goose down insulation combines warmth and compressibility. The recycled nylon features a non-PFC durable water-repellent (DWR) finish, while the hood stows into the collar when you don't need it. For transport, the jacket itself can be packed into the right-hand pocket.

Care Instructions
- Always check the internal garment label before washing.
- Turn inside out and close all zips and hook-and-loop fasteners.
- Wash individually in a front-loading machine only, using warm water on a gentle cycle with a low spin speed.
- Use a liquid detergent specifically for down, without bleach. If necessary, rinse again to remove residue and add a spin cycle to remove excess water.
- Remove from the machine by supporting the garment from underneath, without pulling on the fabric.
- Tumble dry individually on low heat for as long as necessary until completely dry. Use dryer balls or tennis balls to help prevent down from clumping.
- If proper equipment is not available for washing and drying, use a professional cleaning service specialized in down-filled items.
